For Adults

Honor Bound Men's Ministries

The vision of First Assembly is to assist men in reaching their full potential in Christ as a leader, an influencer, and a worker for the Kingdom of God.

There are small groups of men that meet at different times for prayer, Bible Studies and informal get-togethers. Our goal is to aid in the ongoing spiritual growth of each man. Contact the church to see which group fits you best.

We have also participated in Promise Keeper's events, Men's retreats, and various interest-based outings. We have a great time just being together and we look forward to additional opportunities for encouragement.

Joy Fellowship Women's Ministries

If your life has landed somewhere between June Cleaver and Rosie O'Donnell, and you are looking for friendships with other women who have a desire for something more meaningful than the icons of feminism in pop culture, than we invite you to check out the opportunities for involvement offered by Joy Fellowship. We offer prayer meetings, Bible studies, small group fellowships, ladies' day outs, etc. The ladies of First Assembly not only care about ministry to one another, but there are many ladies involved in every ministry imaginable. One of our goals is to serve the Kingdom by encouraging one another and building each other up! If you would like to know more about the ministries of Joy Fellowship, please contact Connie Thompson in the church office at 641-792-4365.

Prayer

As a church we believe in the power of prayer to change lives, circumstances, health, relationships, etc. We pray before, during and after each service! And we pray every day throughout the week! Please feel free to utilize these prayer opportunities!

Prayer Chain
There are a number of times when a crisis arises and God's intervention is desperately sought. If you find yourself in a desperate situation and in need of desperate prayer, please contact us and we will contact people in our congregation asking them to begin praying on your behalf!

Small Groups

As a church we value small group ministries (cell groups) because we believe in people connecting to a family, not an institution (relationships versus establishment). We gently strive to connect people into groups of four to ten (ideally) for a common purpose and are led by an identified leader who is assisting them in their progress toward full devotion to Christ by intentionally providing an environment for connection, community, and spiritual formation. We envision hundreds of home-based ministry groups meeting throughout the region one day on a weekly basis. Please contact Pastor Jeff or the church office to find out when and where our small groups are presently meeting.

Young Adults

A ministry led by and geared for young adults between the ages of 18-Twentysomething. Married or single is welcome. Even though we love kids, we're not babysitters. Even though we may enjoy acting our age, we are ready to make an impact on this world! We're tired of religion that doesn't transform and we're tired of playing nice little Jesus games. We can get anything we want, from anywhere in the world, whenever we want it. Still, our lives aren't any different than other generations before us. We want spiritual direction, but it has to be real for us and available when we need it. If you are looking for something that is powerfully real, so are we. If you want to join us contact the church office or call Matt at 641-831-9546.

Pioneers

This is a ministry for those 55 and older who enjoy fellowship and times of celebrating our mutual victories. Whether you feel you are just hitting your stride in life, or if you feel life has been hitting you harder than you are hitting it, we invite you to join us for friendship and fellowship. We also have pretty good times of worship! It may not be as loud as the young adults'; but it still strikes a chord and still encourages those who attend! Potlucks, Picnics, and Prayer meetings with Passion! We would love to communicate with you about these and many more opportunities!
